This print is part of an ongoing series created from Chamonix, France from the Brevent. This is an ongoing project, exploring the connection between what we experience, and what we know. Within the digital age there is a constant bombardment of information, but as we lift our heads this travels to our subconscious, with us but not in front of us. Whilst I was exploring the silent vast mountains, a matter of hours from us was the French farmer protests for better living conditions and better protection for local produce. This project has been exploring the relationship between the silence of a photograph, the stillness of the mountains and the noise required to be made for change. Combining these two forms of information has a visual impact, creating noise within the photograph, changing the visual structure or even colour. Just as constant interaction with digital information has a subconscious effect on an individual.
The artwork has been printed onto Fuji Crystal Archive (Gloss), under 2mm Acrylic Glass, within a white Pop Art Acrylic Frame.
